Circumstances:	As I walked down the path beside my house to go into the woods a brindle French bulldog came trotting up the path. I anticipated the owners would follow but when no-one did I followed the dog up the path towards the road. A couple were walking along the pavement, so I asked if it was theirs, but it wasn't and the man said to it,"Don't stand in the road, you'll get run over!" But it stood there, staring blankly ahead. The couple walked on so I crouched down and called the dog. It came running towards me but then ran straight past me, went around the bin, crossed the road and trotted off down the left hand side pavement. The couple said it looked like it was headed home and I said I hoped they were right. I have been out the rest of the day, so only reporting now - it may even have got home by now, hopefully.
Other info:	Confused is probably a better way of describing this dog, rather than nervous. It looked as if it was trying to figure out its bearings and wasn't interested in the distraction of human interaction.
