A young Chinese man at Pakeman Road around the corner from me had my cat, I think he kept him in his flat for the whole 18 days my cat was missing & never let him out or took him to RSPCA Harmsworth Hospital Finsbury Park nearby. He had put my cat under the shower & washed him & clipped his nails. His cat Oliver had died, he was grieving, he cried 3 times about this in the 5/10 minutes I had spoken to him. I took my cat to the RSPCA to be weighed he had put on over half a kg in the 18 days. Pakeman is a short Road of 9 terraces on that side, I know 3 of the neighbours there, they say my cat was definitely not in their back gardens. He was absolutely certain it was my cat, I had put 30 posters up along 3 shortish roads, he has no car, there is no way he did not see this. He admits he did not call me immediately, he says he found my cat 5 November, Bonfire day, it was raining so he bathed my cat. It did not rain in London on Bonfire day. The story does not add up on so many levels. He raised the issue of my cat being microchipped, which he is. He took good care of my cat, who is unharmed. I went thru agony & suffering, my cat is like my child & all I have; my cat adores me. I asked the man to hold my cat while I showed him photos, my cat cried to come back to me. My cat is an 'outdoor', curious, social cat who loves his home. He knows what the litter tray is for, but will hold it 24 hours to go outside & do his business. I let him out yesterday, he came straight back to me, which if the man had let him out at all, he would have done. I told him about the Cats Protection Rehoming Centre in Archway nearby, he says he cannot after his cat Oliver died. I am angry at him for the hell I went through, yet I have compassion on him grieving, & have not told the neighbours which exact number his house is. I think if I keep this particular cat indoors only, & not let him out, he will have no quality of life, yet he got into trouble like this! The man says my cat walked into his home, which I believe, my cat does this out of being 'social'.
