Circumstances:	Deceased cat seen on the main road outside Whitgift school. No visible collar. Sadly it seemed the poor cat had been hit several times. Unable to move the body. Called RSPCA/ council who were unable to help. Will contact the council again in the morning.

I saw this too as i rode past on my bike. The cat was hit by a bus. Died instantly with no suffering.

The council shouldn’t be called they won’t check for a chip. Can I have some more details of the cat as my black and white fluffy cat has been missing for 6 weeks

I’m very sorry to hear about your missing cat. I spoke with Croydon cats protection society today and they told me Croydon Council has an agreement with them to check for microchips. The cat appeared to be a short haired cat. I’m sorry it’s hard to give any further description of the cat.
