Circumstances: West side of A338 Ormond Road, near Wantage Hospital
Other info: Sighted at around 11am Friday on Ormond Road, Wantage, no sign of owner. When approached ran off up Charlton Road, past Broadway Motors towards Wantage market place. May have been wearing a collar, not sure.

Six months on, either went home under its own steam, or never will. May as well close this one as unsolved.

My sister spotted what looks like the same dog, in the same area, a week or two back. Was on its own and did not appear distressed or at risk. Maybe he's his own dog.

May as well close this report, and add 'unsolved' as a category, as the animal was still alive when last seen, and wasn't adopted by anyone.

The dog was evidently not lost as first thought, but on its way somewhere, presumably home, as it has been seen since, heading in the same direction, no sign of any human companion. Dogs used to do their own thing many years ago, perhaps this is just an old fashioned dog.
