Circumstances:	Bear is a young cat and doesn't usually leave the garden yet - he comes in at least once every half hour or so when he is outside and has never spent the whole night out.
Other info:	Not yet fully grown, has a pale/nearly white chin and green/yellow eyes, very fluffy ears

Found across the street responding to dinner bowl being dinged, obviously freaked by something as wouldn't cross the (very quiet) road himself to come home.
