Circumstances:	If you have lost a small, tortoiseshell female cat in the SW18 area please let me know. This lovely cat with no collar first appeared outside our front door on Monday (26th). She was crying/meowing loudly enough to alert us from inside. Initially because of her noise we thought something might be wrong so we tried to entice her closer and check her over - we did manage to do so but she is extremely timid so any sudden movements/loud noises would cause her to run a few metres away (but not disappear completely). We knocked a few doors and have posted on NextDoor (app) and a local Facebook group but couldn't find an owner. Thinking she might just be looking for a second dinner we left her outside overnight (put a box with some blankets down just in case). She has come back three days in a row, and is currently sleeping outside in our front garden. She continues to meow very loudly whenever she sees us. We have left water out but reluctant to feed her just yet in case she does have a home and then keeps coming back for food! Our next step is to take her to a local vet and check for a chip if she is still here tomorrow (have been locating a cat carrier to borrow).

Hi Elvene, thanks for your message and I'm so sorry to hear you have lost your cat. We had the cat scanned this morning at the vet and there is no microchip, so I don't think she is yours. Again, really sorry.
