FOUND CAT: Grey cat - Hackney area, Hackney

Hi Rusty. I got him to Vet clinic asap. He's not chipped. Vet said he might have a kidney or thyroid condition and be on medication. I got him specialised food from the clinic to help with digestion.They can't do any tests, as I'm not a legal owner. I have to actively look for the owner at least for 7 days (which is what I'm doing now🙂). That's why it is important to spread the message. He doesn't have a collar but there is a mark on his neck where it used to be. He has fleas and pieces of matted fur (took care of that), this makes me think cat got lost, or owner couldn't take care of him anymore. Maybe it is an elderly person and they don't have social media...Will print out posters and leave them around 🤞

Thats very kind of you. Yes an elderly owner may not be on facebook, and probably wouldn't know about chipping. Owner could have even passed away. Ill link to couple of pages. Do let me know how you get on. Thank goodness he found you

Awww violeta, thats fantastice news. Thanks so much for letting me know. Could you please advise the owner to microchip him asap. Cats like this that arent chipped and taken to a vet are often put to sleep - he was lucky this time. Thanks so much for looking after him and for all your efforts in finding the owner

I even offered to pay for the chip myself. They kindly refused and promised to take him to the vet asap. Hopefully this will encourage them to address his health issues. The cat that can't keep his food for longer than 2hours and weighs 2.5kg is not ok😣

I'm sure can visit him. I have no doubts they genuinely love him, they were looking for him.
