Thanks for your helpful suggestions. I want to check locally first to check if anyone claims him/her before putting the cat through the stress of being trapped and scanned (he/she is not trusting despite being fed by a number of local residents). I will get in touch if I need more help.

This cat looks similar to mine that went missing more than 12 months ago. How do I find out more to see if she is mine. My cat was microchipped but my number had changed and I had not updated her information

Where do you live? I do have other photos, so please text or WhatsApp me and I can send you them. This cat has been around our street for more than six months but is quite nervous (although fed by several residents in the street), so it may take some time to find out if there is a chip. Do you have any photos we could compare?

Have posted on all groups on Facebook book. A few people have posted a post that looks like this going cat that lived on a boat ? Please update any news so I can inform the groups. Many thanks Gloria.

I will let you know if I hear anything. Seems unlikely he lived on a boat, but who knows. Some people think he was owned by an old lady nearby who died, but there's no confirmation of this

Any news on a microchip on this cat please?

Not yet, still waiting to collect any more possible news on ownership. Just trying to organise the process of getting someone to check for microchip (not so easy as he/she is not very approachable)

Oh I see the cat is still roaming what street or road ? Just wondering if there can be a trap set up to catch the nervous scared cat. I will let groups know. Thank you

Clonmel Road off the Fulham Road and the back of the terrace. We are just waiting a couple of days to see if anyone on social media recognises/claims him and then I will try to organise trapping him/her and checking for a chip

What happened to this cat in the end?

Sadly, he was found badly injured after being hit by a car (we think) and died from his injuries. We never found out where he came from but neighbours were gradually encouraging him to eat inside and planned to give him a home, so doubly unfair that he then died.
