Circumstances:	'Our girl went out first thing in the morning, as usual, but did not return. This is totally out of keeping with her normal routine. She has lived in the same house for 10 years and never strayed.'

How long has your cat been gone then as my young female kitten was away for 3 days and came home normally fine she may just be expanding her territory. Most regularly house cats only venture 3 or 4 houses across. Hope this helps and hopefully you find your lost kitty.

Following local enquiries we now think that Eris is very likely dead. If not we will now rely on her chip to help bring her home.
