If this cat and kittens are visiting you or living under your shed, it might be worthwhile contacting your local Cat's Protection who could maybe help in trapping mum and the kittens.

As a follow on from the above - if Cat's Protection can help safely trap them, they'll all hopefully get re-homed before the kittens become ferral and go on to breed even more stray/ferral cats. Good Luck.
