STOLEN
Spike
Name: Spike
Breed & Species: Unknown cat
Colour: BLACK
SimpleColour:
Went missing: 2 years ago
(28 May 2021 at around 17:00hrs)
Location: Penn Close, Cheddar BS27 3NT, UK
Health: Healthy
Age: 8 years old
Sex: Neutered Male
Collar: No
Microchipped: No
Markings: NO DISTINCT MARKINGS EXCEPT THAT sPIKE IS ALL BLACK WITH NO WHITE ON HIM
Circumstances: We moved to Penn close on 7/5/21, Spike stayed in for three weeks and was just beginning to go out through the window (we don't have a cat flap). My grandchildren stayed that night, and Spike is very nervous of anyone he doesn't know. He didn't come home! I realise now, he was frightened of my grandchildren. I searched and called him day after day. His mum Poppy came with me looking for him. I have notified everyone I can think of Vets, police, cats protection, search and rescue) and there have been no sightings of him whatsoever, which leads me and my family to think that he was stolen and kept in, preventing him from coming home. I have spoken to the police but do not have a crime reference number.
Other info: SPIKE IS QUITE A BIG CAT, LONG AND LEAN. HIS COAT BEFORE HE WENT MISSING WAS VERY SHINY

spike was born in my bed! he is irreplacable! I still cry every day because I miss him and love him so much. If anyone has seen someone who has possibly got a "new" black cat, please come forward as it might be my Spike.

Spike has been found! He was returned to me last Saturday, he escaped on Thursday, but luckily he went back to the people who were feeding him. He is now safely returned tome. Because he was gne for so long, he is now ferrel! He hisses and growls at me, it has broken my heart that he oesn't recognise me. I will persevere with him and try and rehabilitate him. If anyone has any advice, it will be very welcome.

I must add that the people that were helping what they thought was a stray cat only recently realised that he is my Spike, they are really lovely people and have helped me enormously, and have refused to take the reward! I will be sending gifts to them instesd. Bless these lovely people for looking after my Spike through the cold winter.

Some very kind people were feeding what they thought was a stray cat through the cold winter. They found out about Spike being lost through The Cat's Protection. They contacted me and although He is traumatised because of his nine month ordeal he is healthy and safe now. I am doing my best to rehabilitate him into family life once again. Grateful thanks to all concerned in helping me find my precious baby Spike.
