I am really sorry but have heard about a cat being in a road traffic accident near where you live. They took the cat to a local Vet who could not find a chip. Msy not be your Oreo but please check with this vet. Hi Lesley, I’ve just seen your post in Tooting Cats and I think I may know what happened to Oreo. I was walking my dog on Thursday evening with a couple of friends and we saw a black and white cat run into the road and get hit by a car. Unfortunately it was a fatal accident and all happened very quickly. We took the poor cat to Wimbledon Vets4Pets to check for a chip but they couldn’t find one. He was a young male cat wearing what I thought was a purple collar but might have been blue, it was dark when I looked. Vets4Pets still have him so it’s best to call them and see if you can visit so you know for sure if it’s Oreo or not. I’m very sorry if it does turn out to be Oreo, and I’m sorry we couldn’t do anything to help him.

Contact the vets and send a photo. Am sure they will be able to confirm as they will still have the cat. One minute will get the link.

Am so sorry for passing on the news. I am glad is not your Oreo and is more likely he was just missing you and has gone walk about. Can your housemate put out something with his smell on ? Contents of hoover? When are you back?

It's ok I really appreciate you did, I would rather have known and check then to wonder forever... 30th october by 4.30 pm I should be home so not long now.. My housemate is working from morning to night, I have been sending my boyfriend over to check up seeing as he was the one who brought me the cat home in the first place. Around 25th he was last seen at my neighbours home with his lady cat friend and since then both haven't been seen. xx
