I shared this to facebook group - Our Burslem. If you can, take it to a vet to check for microchip. It is a free service. Try sharing it with Iris's cats lost and found - they have a very wide group around Stoke on Trent. There are a few lost and found cats/ pets groups locally too. Hope you find the owner. Beautiful cat.

Thank you! I have been in touch with the rspca and I have to set up a feeding pattern and note times when he is coming. Then they are going to come out with a trap. He is very nervous and won’t let you near him or else I would try to take him a vets. Tried to contain him but he got very scared and ran off.

Hi Emma, I’ve decided to keep caring for the cat long has he keeps turning up. Seemed content yesterday hanging around the back garden so rang rspca and said it’s ok for us to adopt him.

Well that is wonderful news -I hope you will first continue to put out 'found' posts and make sure he isn't chipped/ doesn't already have someone who is missing him though please?

Once you can get close you could also try a paper collar (you can get them free from vets).... put your details on and see if owner gets in touch... he might just be a cat who likes adventures but does have a home to go to :)

Yeah I’ve checked every site and post possible but there has been nothing. He has been roaming 5 months and the rspca said if he’s not neutered then more than likely he’s not chipped. I’m waiting for cars protection to get in touch with me but considering the state he was in defiantly not ate for a while they are happy enough for me to continue what I’m doing, but if he does wonder off then he wonders . He is very ferel so it’s likely he has been dumped

awh bless him, I didn't realise you had been looking for his owners so long! Hope you can catch hold of him soon to get him checked over/ neutered/ vaccinated etc and give him a proper home :)

Rang rspca and they said they are more than happy to let me care for the cat. He is very ferel and is unlikely to become domesticated. Hopefully in time he will gain our trust

Hi hope you manage to find your cat, I’ll keep a look out for you I do a lot of walking about. I’ve decided to adopt this cat has he’s been wandering around lost since February he now seems content hanging around my garden and having a full belly.
