Circumstances: We have recently moved to this area, but kept the cat inside for nearly four weeks to familiarise her with the new environment (which is very rural compared to the suburban location she had come from). She is an adventurous cat and very independent, always coming back when she was ready to eat or go to sleep. We walked her around the garden on a harness for the three weeks and when we eventually let her go off, she returned a few hours later - quite happy. This was about the 20th April. She seemed very sure of her way home and we were confident that she had settled in. She went out as usual in the morning, then came in to lie on the bed with us for about an hour, which is her usual routine. She left to go out again at about 08:00 and we didn't see her all day - she usually pops in a few times during the day to doze in the sun or to eat, then goes off again. There are fields all around and she was very excited to be able to explore ... By 18:00 on 05 May, she hadn't returned. We walked all around the neighbourhood and asked the neighbours to look out for her. We are close to the A366, but Pippin is very smart and has already navigated this road a few times. We don't think she went across it this time, and we haven't seen any signs of her (her body) on the road. We feel she may have been locked inside someone's shed or garage and cannot get out, since she is very curious.
Other info: Small, slim and athletic build.
