(16 July 2019 at around 21:00hrs)
Location: University Parks, South Parks Road, Oxford, UK
Health: Healthy
Age: 7 years old (approx)
Sex: Male
Collar: No
Microchipped: Not sure
Circumstances: The cat was wandering around near the pond and river area of University Parks. He approached us and was very affectionate and vocal. He looked a little confused and lost, so we assumed that he had wandered off and lost his way. We took the cat to the University Parks security office, where the security guards made various calls and identified him as Lady Margaret Hall’s lost cat. So, we took him to LMH. However, the college porter said that the cat wasn’t theirs. After this, we called RSPCA again, who told us that the best option would be to release him near LMH. So, we released him just outside Lady Margaret Hall College, Norham Gardens. He appeared more calm and confident than he was at university parks, and he climbed under a gate and found shelter.
Other info: Looks like a Burmese/ Siamese cat, but not 100% sure about the breed.

This looks very like my missing cat! It’s far away from us, but he could have been stolen. My Cat is called Levi and is microchipped. If anybody sees this cat again please can you contact me or try and scan him? Thank you ???? Sara

Hi I called the number left on the website regarding the cat. I was told it was Oxford University and the person who answered had no knowledge of the cat. Is there a number I can phone regarding the cat. Our cat lost cat looks the same as that cat, he is chipped. Would it be possible to have cats protection read the chip or the vet or the RSPCA? He will come up on the system as lost. My number is 07947501296 - please contact us we would love to have our pet come home, if it is him we can provide proof of ownership.

There is now a reward for finding the cat of £350 pounds, I will either give it as a donation to cats protection or to the person who finds him and hands him in. He will be around the the Oxford area so could everyone keep watching for him. We would really like to find him. He is a good hunter so will probably be hiding where he can find mice or birds. But he is so friendly he could charm his way into any house.

The cat has now been identified - he is a Tongkinese and lives not far from Lady Margaret Hall. I spoke to his owner last night, he quite often goes down to the park. Although he looks very similar to our cat, his chip identified him as being a local cat, he is not lost, just going for a walk, he does not wear a collar because he keeps managing to lose it.
