Have you been able to take it to the vet? We lost a black cat several years ago (Botley), who could have been living fairly wild since, although unlikely. He was microchipped, so really the only way of telling one black cat from another is by having it scanned for a chip. We are currently shielding, so cannot come ourselves, unfortunately.

We lost our black and white cat in December. Did this cat have any white markings on feet/chest?

hello so the cat went away for a bit he returend today crying, very hungry and still doesnt look good. Ive tried rspca several times but no joy. Unfortunately botley vets is closed and i have no way of taking nhim to a further vets. He is mostly black with lots of fine grey hairs.

Hi Ricky McKee, as the RSPCA won’t help, it might be worth giving the Sunshine Cat Rescue a call to see if they can help 01993 831279 that poor cat sounds like it needs all the help it can get
