Hi Isobel, I am aware of this cat -- I'm with Cats Protection and a couple of us have been feeding another stray (a grey and white tabby female) by the hotel; this one showed up a couple of months ago (we're now feeding it as well) and I'm just waiting for a fostering space. Hopefully we'll be able to take it in soon but at least know that it is being fed. Best, Katherine

Hi Isobel, I'm delighted to say that I was finally able to get close enough to this cat to scan him for a microchip -- he was chipped, and I've spoken to his owners, who are overjoyed; he'd been missing for several months and they'd given up hope. Best, Katherine (Cats Protection)

This cat always meets me at 5am at Jurys staff entrance for breakfast and also gets fed by the night porters who call 'it' Philip, will you be trapping him/her, when are the owners coming?

How far away from home was the cat as a matter of interest?

Have far had the cat travelled, very pleased for the cat and owners!

Hi Isobel, I've spoken to your husband/partner -- the cat had come from Cutteslowe and had been missing for something like 5 months, I think he'd only been at Jury's Inn for 2 months or so -- who knows what happened in between? The owners were overjoyed to have him back. He's called Ted. I'm so sorry about your own missing cat -- I do know how heart-breaking it is, which is why I'm so delighted for Ted's owners.
