Circumstances:	He just went out to play in the garden and didn’t come back in, he usually only goes out for an hour tops. We’ve searched the entire avenue and another in our area and still haven’t been able to locate him.

Go out calling them night/late evening when it is quiet, starting at the furthest away point first to lead them home and not away. You are more likely to hear each other then and, if they are hiding because they are lost, they are more likely to come out. Take a big torch with you too to reflect their eyes in the dark. x.

Try leaving anything with a familiar smell, like your unwashed clothes, their litter tray or the hoover contents outside. They can smell it from up to a mile away and it can help them to find their way home. It is a good idea to swap the clothes out every 2-3 days to keep the scent fresh. x

Have you asked all your neighbours if they have seen them and checked their sheds etc. in case they've been shut in or trapped underneath decking? It is a good idea to leaflet/poster the area too if you haven't already. x

We put food out for him and when we checked the next morning he turned up at our door step!!x
