Hi with a bit of help you may be able to find out who implanted the chip and if was a vet they may have some info. Have you made a report to Battersea? You can do it on their website then email them a photo. Shame when the chips are not registered.

22 days after this Bengal cat was found, the owner’s daughter recognised him from a FOUND poster, taped nearby. As he is an outdoorsy cat, the owner hadn’t realised or reported that he was missing. Since the microchip was still registered to the breeder, the owner couldn’t be located at first. But the microchip number in the pet passport she had and her photos of the pet matched 100%.
