Poor cat! Thanks for helping him/her. If yiu have a 'safe & secure' cat carrier you can pop to vet and get scanned for a chip- its a free service at any vets. They will also tell you if male / female & estimate age. Please make sure yiu get full proof of ownership from any claimant, as you are now advertising the cat public, so anyone can try to claim. A photo isnt sufficiant evidence as anyone can show you a photo of a tabby. You need full proof before handing to anyone - Hence, better to check for a microchip first!
