Circumstances:	I only moved to the flat two weeks ago. As I was going away, I had arranged for someone to stay in the flat to look after her. However, this person opened one of the windows at the back of the flat. She then went out and when she returned at 18.00 my cat was missing. She did not let me know until Friday lunchtime (today).

I had read on the internet that I should leave things with familiar smells on outside. So I put Emily's whole letter tray, a bowl of her food and a duvet cover that she had slept on on the ledge outside my bedroom window. I left the window open. Then, at around, 4a.m. I heard a loud squawking sound outside the window as Emily was trying to jump up to get in.
