Circumstances:	We had only had Millie for a month, and for the last week we had just started letting her go outside (during the day only). She wasn't too bothered about venturing outside during the day, (probably because her normal routine at her old home) and was used to being able to go and come as she pleased during the night. She is definitely a lot more active at night, however we didn't feel comfortable letting her do this yet, especially as we don't have a cat flap. Unfortunately she managed to escape through a window in the early hours. The window was at the front of the house, however we had only been letting her out in the back garden, so this would be new territory. Also, we adopted Millie from an elderly and unwell grandparent who only lives a 15 min walk away. We do have concerns that as we are so close she may have recognised the scent and tried to get back there.
