If this is the first time that Rio has ever flown outside, he will more than likely still be in a neighbours garden somewhere around your house clinging to whatever he landed on petrified. If he is not a confident flyer, he will more than likely still be around, so you need to knock on every door surrounding your house and ask to look in their gardens yourself and call him and make whatever noises he is used to you making when you are in each garden, and when he recognises your voice he will respond with the noises he usually makes then you will track him, but if this bird is not used to flying long flights, if he was born in captivity, then he probably hasn't flown very far at all, and is still wherever he crash landed. I say this because my African Grey got out this summer, and i knocked each door until i found him clinging to a fence behind a bush in a garden 8 doors down, and that was a garden i had already looked in at the start of my search, but hadn't looked behind the bushes at first. My guess is that Rio is still in the area somewhere in someone's garden, and so many people do not go on computer's and see these post's to know to look. If you don't want to ask people if you can look in their gardens for whatever reason, at least post your phone number through every door in the neighbourhood so that people can call you, as Rio will probably be so scared that he will only come to you. Good luck, i so hope you find him as i'm worried for this little bird out there.....
