Markings:	None
Circumstances:	The cat is short-haired, and from a distance looks black. At closer inspection they have a brown tinge. They have a very worn blue collar, with the specialist clip mechanism. They are friendly, are fairly content to be stroked( the first couple of times they tried to dab me (but not with claws), and to ‘nip’ me) and are happy to hang around in the garden with two male cats we have, (one of which usually hates random cats company, but who does not feel threatened by this cat for some reason). He was of average size, but since he has been visiting our garden, he has definitely become thinner, & has a small red dry patch above one eye
Other info:	From a distance he looks black, but close up he is more chocolate brown and short-haired.

I am just wondering if this cat is a cat that we had in Grays that we rehomed to someone in Dagenham which has gone missing. My wife contacted the vets who informed us that this was the case, I really hope that he is ok as my wife is extremely upset to hear this news. If it is the cat that we had rehomed then his name is Rex. Many thanks.

Hello James-He is still visiting our garden, & I was going to call my vets today to take him in to see if he is microchipped. Also, I noticed that he has an abscess on his head yesterday which I have been trying to clean with salt water, so that will obviously need to be checked also. Do you know if he was microchipped at all, or any contact details of the new owner, as it would be great to get him back to where he belongs? He is a lovely cat. Kind regards, Robyn

Piece of paper with phone number was placed on cat’s collar and the owner called to say they owned him, & that he was not lost. Will still keep an eye out for him, as not convinced he is being properly looked after.
