Circumstances: - Our beloved cat Jam has gone missing from Burnbury Road on 25th August. We have a SureCat cat flap that tracks when she goes in and out and she last went out at 10pm on 25th August, and hasn't been back in since. - She was around with us as usual in the evening of the 25th August before we went to bed, being her usual sweet and affectionate self. She wakes us up every morning for a fuss and her breakfast, but she hasn't come in and the app shows she hasn't come back through the cat flap since going out at 10pm last night. - We have had Jam since January 2020 when we rescued her from Battersea. We haven't moved house, so she has lived here with us for 1.5 years. - She has never stayed out all night before and always comes when called and when we shake her tub of Dreamies. - Jam was wearing a blue collar with a bell and a name tag but a lady came around this morning (26th August, at 8am) with her collar that she found in Haverhill Road which was torn into three pieces which is very worrying.

Thank you so much @reggiemollieros ?? I don’t have Twitter or Facebook so that’s really helpful. Someone mentioned a Facebook group in Furzedown which helps to find lost pets. Do you know of it? Really good to know about the scammer (how messed up people can be) I’ll be mindful of that scam.

We think our beloved Jam was hit by a car, and then attacked by foxes. This information was gathered from neighbours observations and from the vets where her dead body was taken by a neighbour.
