Are you able to take the cat for a scan at your nearest vet? They will probably loan you a cat carrier for a refundable deposit. Also you can let Battersea know on their website in case he/she is reported to them. If the cat comes and goes put a paper collar on with your details asking owner to call you. Have shared on Twitter and Facebook. Oh posters might work too.

He has got a chip registered in Ferndale Road so we are just keeping an eye on him and as he is no longer permanently installed in our garden I assume he is now going home more.
