Hi Ian, that is our cat Mochie. We live on Lyncombe close. He was here this morning but needs to be home for his insulin. He is always ravenous since becoming diabetic, so if possible could you please not feed him. We have noticed he’s been disappearing every night but is back in the morning. Thanks for your concern and looking out for him. Mel.

Hi Mel, thanks for tracking Mochie down so quickly, we were worried that he’d wandered too far from home! Hopefully he will make a return back home tonight so you can give him his medication. We have fed him a couple of times and noticed that he is indeed ravenous. We’ve attached a clip to his collar with our phone number on but you have that now anyway. Call us tomorrow if he doesn’t return in the morning. He’ll be in our porch for sure as our own cat Oska growls every time he sees him. By the way, Mochie is our third visitor in three years so the word is obviously spreading! Regards Ian and Joan at 32

Hi Ian & Joan,

Thanks for looking after Mochie. He’s a bit of a crafty devil. I use to live in California and brought him back with me (hence the accent??). He used to live around the corner from me over there but decided to move in with my two other cats as he was living with some young guys that were neglecting him! I think he thinks he’s being neglected now and he’s worked out that he can get food at your house. He was diagnosed about 16 months ago with diabetes, he’s on two shots of insulin a day which is making him ravenous. We are still trying to get his blood sugars under control! The insulin makes him ravenous, we are hoping when his numbers are right it will stop! We have already had to have a new kitchen due to him flooding it when he tried to get in to the green food bin!! I know it’s hard not to feed him, but we would appreciate it if you don’t as he’s in a monitored diet. Thanks again for looking after him. Do you have a black/white cat or tiger one? I’ve seen a couple when I walk down your road. If you need me for anything my number is 07494 066529. Regards Mike & Mel

Hi Mike and Mel, good to know he’s local, that helps! We’ll leave things as they are I think, you’ll know where he is if he disappears for any length of time. We have a cat flap left permanently open for our own cat so he’ll still have access. We won’t feed him despite the looks ?? but we’ll leave a bowl of water handy. Our cat is a ginger short haired tom. The stripey Bengal type is Simba who lives across the road. Mochie is a really handsome boy and very photogenic! Keep in touch anytime. Kind regards IAN and Joan

Thanks, he was very handsome before he had to go on a diet!! I use to have a ginger Tom back in the US. I adored him, unfortunately the coyotes got him, very sad. What number are you at? I’m at 17 Lyncombe in case you ever need us. Regards, Mike & Mel
