(04 May 2023 at around 18:00hrs)
Location: Knapmill Road, London SE6 3SZ, UK
Health: Healthy
Age:
Sex: Unknown
Collar:
Microchipped: Not sure
Markings: None. The collar has a small bell, but no identity capsule
Circumstances: I had a delivery and noticed the cat hiding behind my small recycling bin. It was tucked away and mewing plaintively. I asked my neighbour if they recognised it and they said they'd seen it wandering up and down the street earlier, apparently lost. We didn't want to leave it by itself as there are a number of large cats in the area which could intimidate it.We used their cat carrier to bring it in to my house, as they have a cat. It didn't struggle at all. We had not seen it previously.
Other info: Small and possibly elderly - looks lke a mature adult.

My neighbour had posted on NextDoor about the cat being found. This morning that message got through to the owner. In the meantime I had taken the cat to the vet to see if it had a microchip. It did, and so the nurse was able to contact the owner. I left the cat at the vets, and the owner was due to go and collect them shortly. I don't know their address but it was relatively close by, which doesn't surprise me.
