Circumstances:	He was at the window in the morning, meowing to come in. We played with him for a short while and he returned the same evening. He keeps trying to come in, is very playful and seems healthy and happy. We have seen him around our window/garden at least 3 times since and he always hangs around for a while. We always play but do not feed him.
Other info:	Incredibly friendly, likes rolling around when playing and chasing bugs

If the cat is coming and going can you try a paper collar asking owner to call you? If you get no response might be worth taking to a vet to scan for a microchip. You could also try NextDoor website too

That’s a great idea, thank you! I have contacted a vet who are happy to check for a chip. So we will do that if he keens coming back over the weekend

Did you manage to find the owner? We just had a very similar looking cat wander into our flat - looking very skinny (and we live nearby to you!)

One day she appeared with a little green tartan collar (looked brand new) with a name and number so we have assumed that she’s got a home nearby and just likes to visit! The little cat that visits us is slim but she’s quite small in general so maybe a different cat. Does she roll over and play a lot with you?

This lovely little cat has returned after some time away with a collar, name tag and contact number. Glad to know she has a loving home, and hopefully she will come to visit still.
