LOST
Dixie
Name: Dixie
Breed & Species: Other bird
Colour: Yellow
SimpleColour:
Went missing: 4 days ago
(13 September 2025 at around 09:00hrs)
Location: Smythe Street, London E14 0HF, UK
Health: Healthy
Age: 2 months old
Sex: Unknown
Collar: No
Microchipped: No
Markings: None
Circumstances: Strong wind blew open magnetic door net, Dixie flew past me, around the trees outside my house, circled back over my head chirping rapidly, I don’t think she could stop because of the wind behind her, I called and called her, but she couldn’t hear me, went over the top of my property high enough to go over the next property which leads into Canary wharf, very high buildings, train lines, river, and Dixie was out of earshot! I have been out looking for her every day, Dawn, midday and dusk, with her name and the Wolf whistle we called it playing on loop for a wide range around my property. I have never heard her… I have trees at the front of my property and at the back of my property restricting view of her Cage, which has been outside since the 13th, and the front garden, her perch, she will not be able to see them, it is out of my control to cut them back. There have been no sightings of Dixie in all of the lost and found or cockatiel lovers pages on Facebook, or anywhere else I have spread the word. I offer a £100 reward and will travel as far as I need if suspected a sighting is Dixie.
Other info: Will respond to Wolf whistle. Totally bonded to me only as far as I am aware may approach you if she is hungry and feeling desperate once trusted I’m sure she will be very gentle and approachable. Loves her food.. very healthy appetite. Used to regular meals of rice, mixed beans and vegetables. She loves broccoli and cauliflower.
