I have now heard from the owner. She lives in Romsey, Hampshire, and tracked me down via the internet and Pets Reunited Borehamwood. I told her I had seen the parrot in a tree in our garden a few days ago but wqas still 'flying free''. The parrots name is Bernie and he his quite big and bright green in colour. If anyone has seen him in the Chandos Road or Croxdale Road area please free to ring me and I will let Sharron know.

I spotted a green parrot on two occasions in our garden. It was feeding on a hanging fat ball feeder. I posted this sighting as a 'found' although it was really a 'seen' incident. A few days later a lady called Sharron from Southampton phoned me and when I described the parrot (it was large and very distinctive) she thought it might me hers. I never saw the parrot again so it must have moved on somewhere else.
