Hello Alex, thank you for taking care of this Budgie. I am actually looking for a missing Rescue Budgie at the moment (not this one) but be good to know exactly where you found it as sometimes they follow each other. Do you have a safe enclosure for it? What are you planning to do with it? Do you need me to help you find a safe home for it? It looks like its possibly female. Budgies are not usually microchipped but I can come and scan to see if it has one? Its sod law my phone not working at the moment as i left my charger in work and not there now for couple of days but I am in the E2 area. I will check back here later for any replies. Meantime can you also register on www.animalsearchuk.co.uk, and if anyone tries to claim please ask for proof of ownership. Thank you

Hi Rusty. Thank you for all your good advice. I found her next to Barham Court (15 Mint St, London E2 6FY), Bethnal Green. It's not far from énergie Fitness. I made a temporary birdcage from my cat's travel cage. She is with me in my bedroom at all time. I gave her food (seeds and vegetables) and water. I was thinking to keep her (if nobody claims her back) but, I read that they need the company of another budgie for their wellbeing. I can't have more than one bird at the moment. I think the best option would be finding her home with more budgies.

Hi Alex, thank you for getting back. A temporary bird cage from a cat carrier is fantastic, thats the same thing i do. I am told that Budgies are not microchipped. You are right that budgies need company. Have you put posters up in the area? Its best to not put the description of the budgie on the poster so that you have something to verify if a potential owner get in touch and they can describe the bird to you. I have checked some of the missing bird/pet registers and I cant find anything reported of that description. Would you like me to inquire about rescue space / re-homing? Thank you for caring

Hi Rusty! I've ordered a better cage, she likes to escape from the transporter. I've left posters in the area, messages on the lost & found websites. I'm also in contact with "lost and found parrots UK" organization. I'm happy to take care of her and try to find her owner. If no one comes back to me within a month I'll decide what to do next. Shall we maybe exchange emails so we can stay in touch?

Thats fantastic Alex, yes the best move. Yes we can exchange emails if you like. You may be able to find me on facebook as Rusty Pointer, currently my profile pic is me with a ginger cat waving, and we can exchange details there as theres no private message option on this site. Thank you

No one responded to my add for over 14 days. The bird got attached to me already.
