It started raining around 2.30am, i came downstairs to switch off lights as id been upstairs putting washing away for half hour and Asha was sat upright in middle of sofa looking a little confused. No injuries and not dirty or hungry. Eyes were wide, he had made no sound on his return, (he usually comes in after hour of being out meowing for food then settles down for the evening) he looked a bit freaked out like he wasnt sure where he'd been. He was wet from rain but not massively so guessing he was close by all along and rain made him return? Around 8pm i had been to local shops and shouted his name all the way there and back also shaking crunchies box. On way back i also left a hansel and grettle style trail in most hedges we walked past with the contents of the dust canister from our hoover (this contained bits of cat litter/dust/fur from him and our other cats) i had also put the last thing he'd slept on (the bath mat) on the front doorstep, and the whole litter tray with litter in on the patio table in the back garden. Had done these two things that moning but no idea if these things are what lead him home or whether he had been there all along, hiding in a bush or scared or locked in a shed somewhere and just coincidence he returned that day?! Either way we are so pleased he is home and he is booked in for neuturing on monday 11th April 👍
