Circumstances:	He was on his cage in the living room. I opened the back door to the garden to put some washing out and he flew through the living room into the kitchen, I think to land on my shoulder (which he does all the time) but, instead of landing he went straight out of the back door and kept on flying, over the seven foot garden wall and gone. I think he was quite shocked with being outside so just kept flying! I immediately ran round the block to see if I could find him and I walked around for about two hours talking to everyone I saw and giving them my phone number.

Alfie was found by some dogwalkers in Howards Park, Pitsea. He had been spotted in some trees there earlier in the morning. The man got a towel from the boot of his car, picked Alfie up in it but when he realised that Alfie was not vicious he opened up the towel, Alfie climbed onto his shoulder and that's where he stayed while the man walked home. He put him in one of his dog cages and phoned his neice, who is a policewoman, to find out what he should do. Luckily, she had seen all of the posts we had put up on Facebook and so she was able to contact me and I went to pick him up immediately.
