(17 September 2021 at around 06:00hrs)
Location: Cope Street, Barnsley S70 4JQ, UK
Health: Healthy
Age: 7 years old (approx)
Sex: Male
Collar: No
Microchipped: No
Markings: He has very distinctive markings near his face. On one side there is a white spot marking surrounded by ginger, on the other side: he has a ginger spot surrounded by white (in a similar pattern to the other side of his face)
Circumstances: I was putting my bin out for collection before 6am, and I saw this lovely, ginger cat in a neighbours garden that I haven't seen before, and I noticed that he wasn't spayed (so wondered if he was stray). I brought him a cat treat so he would come closer to me and I could see if he was okay, and then he nervously followed me home to my garden and has been camping out there ever since! He looks well fed and in fairly good condition, but he did have some fleas and doesn't look to be neutered. I have given him a flea/worm treatment, and took him to the vets to be scanned for a microchip, but he sadly isn't chipped. Now he knows he can trust me - he is extremely friendly and well socialised, and somebody must be missing him so much! It would be amazing to find his family and get him back home. He's such a lovely chap, and I really have to stress how friendly and gentle he is. I'd probably age him at roughly 4 years old as his teeth are in great condition, but he has the classic larger head of an un-neutered male (which tends to develop between 2-3 years of age), but he doesn't seem to have much of a drive towards other cats (other than curiosity, he isn't spraying, and he is fairly settled in his behaviour (but he doesn't look to be a senior cat). Let's get this wonderful gentleman home to his family where he belongs.
Other info: He has white paws, a white tuxedo/chest, and a white belly (that he loves being stroked!).
