LOST
Jaipur
Name: Jaipur
Breed & Species: Unknown cat
Colour: Ginger
SimpleColour:
Went missing: 2 years ago
(01 November 2021 at around 18:00hrs)
Location: Ashbourne DE6 1TL, UK
Health: Healthy
Age: 9 years old (approx)
Sex: Neutered Male
Collar: Black
Microchipped: Yes
Markings: Large, handsome cat with longish fur and bushy tail.
Circumstances: Unknown to us, a guest in one of the rental cottages adjoining our farm ordered an ASDA delivery. The van arrived, and then departed with our cat inside because ASDA have no protocol for checking before leaving an address. Two drops on, at Ashton Close their customer heard him shooing a cat out of the van and saw a cat running out. ASDA have been very coy about releasing the CCTV footage from within the van, but have verbally confirmed it matched the description of our cat. The cat had a collar with a tag with the postcode of the address he had just delivered to - and my wife's mobile. He is a very handsome cat, and its possible that somebody has decided to keep him as he is also very friendly.
Other info: His collar had a metal disc on with our postcode and my wife's mobile number, DE61PH and (07973) 185238 respectively. Friendly (if not frightened), curious, loves climbing into boxes etc
Our ref: PR80135

ASDA van did not keep its doors closed for its food hygiene protocol when it delivered to our neighbour. So our cat got in. The driver shooed our cat out 2 deliveries later despite the brass tag with our number and the postcode he had just delivered to on his collar. ASDA did little to help but we posted on social media and your site, and a person near where he was dropped off recognised the cat, called us and we got him back. We lost a week of work each and it cost hundreds. ASDA are a disgrace.
