I saw a cat last night by Rammey Marsh lock that could have possibly been your cat. Is she on the slightly heavy side? Does she have a collar? And does she come when you call her name? I’ll keep an eye out for her today. Best wishes, Kate

OK, I’ll call to him if I see him and let you know as well of course. Do you know where the Narrowboat Cafe is? I live just there and I saw a black cat walking around last night which I haven’t seen before. I suppose it’s possible that he might have walked all along the wooden divider on the river to get up here. Anyway, if it was your cat, he looked fine - no eye missing. Best wishes, Kate

Thank you Kate. You're a diamond. Chewy will come if called and can be very vocal and very affectionate. I know where you mean, but it seems a bit far from Government Row! He is very much a "home loving boy" and doesn't go far. He doesn't wear a collar, but is microchipped.

Chewy disappeared early morning of 11th February. Completely out of character and just not in his nature to disappear. Have searched every day for last 2 weeks, put up posters, spoken to local vets and advertised on websites. I live very close to a river, so can only assume the worst and therefore must accept the situation, as heartbreaking as it is.
